Our Story
Nestled in the heart of Repentigny, Manioky transcends the typical coffee shop experience. This new location is a vibrant celebration of family, heritage, and the rich Creole identity. Founded by a passionate mother-daughter duo, the cafe stands as a testament to the deep-rooted familial connections and the diverse tapestry of Afro-Caribbean culture.
Inspired by the legacy of our beloved matriarch, Marcelle Desmarattes, whose spirit infuses every corner of our cafe, the family pays homage to her memory through the revival of her cherished recipes and warm hospitality. Each dish on the menu reflects a shared heritage, blending traditional Haitian flavours with contemporary twists that evoke a sense of home and nostalgia.
Filled with the essence of Creole cuisine, the menu offers a delightful selection of sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts, complemented by great coffee and tropical drink offerings. As stewards of Marcelle’s legacy, the founder and head chef is driven by a passion for authentic flavours and a desire to create a welcoming space where community and culture converge.
With every cup brewed and every bite savoured, guests are invited to experience the warmth and joviality of Creole culture. Join us at Manioky as we weave together the vibrant threads of Africa, Haiti, and New Orleans in every delicious moment.
